S.I. No. 741/2022 - Air Navigation And Transport Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2022

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 13th January, 2023.

I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Air Navigation and Transport Act 2022 (No. 40 of 2022), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation and Transport Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2022.

2. The 22nd day of December 2022 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Air Navigation and Transport Act 2022 (No. 40 of 2022) shall come into operation:

(a) Part 1 (other than section 8);

(b) Part 2;

(c) Part 8;

(d) Part 9;

(e) Part 10 (other than section 97);

(f) Part 11.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Transport by section 1 (2) of the Air Navigation and Transport Act 2022 (No. 40 of 2022), this Order appoints 22nd December 2022 as the day on which certain provisions of that Act come into operation.
