S.I. No. 463/2022 - Sea-Fisheries (Community Control System) (Amendment) Regulations 2022

I, CHARLIE MCCONALOGUE, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 14 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No. 8 of 2006), for the purpose of giving further effect to Council Regulation (EU) No 1224/2009 of 20 November 20091 , Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 404/2011 of 8 April 20112 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/30 of 14 January 20203 , hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sea-Fisheries (Community Control System) (Amendment) Regulations 2022.

2. The Sea-Fisheries (Community Control System) Regulations 2016 ( S.I. No. 54 of 2016 ) are amended—

(a) In Regulation 2(1), by inserting after “28 October 2015” in the definition of “Commission Regulation” the following: “and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/30 of 14 January 2020”,

(b) In Regulation 4(1)(b), by inserting “81,” after “80(1) and (2),”,

(c) In Regulation 4(4)(a), by substituting “Council Regulation” for “Control Regulation”, and

(d) In Regulation 7, by substituting “Council Regulation” for “Control Regulation” in each place it occurs.
