S.I. No. 429/2022 - Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2022

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 6th September, 2022.

I, Darragh O’Brien, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (No. 15 of 2022), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2022.

2. The 29th day of August 2022 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (No. 15 of 2022) shall come into operation:

(a) Part 1;

(b) Part 2;

(c) Part 3;

(d) section 60 in so far as it relates to an offence under paragraph 2(10) of Schedule 2, and paragraph 7(2) of Schedule 2;

(e) section 63(2) in so far as it relates to an offence under paragraph 2(10) of Schedule 2;

(f) Part 8;

(g) Schedule 2.
