EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

The purpose for which these Regulations are made under the Local Government Services (Corporate Bodies) Act 1971 , is to amend the Housing and Sustainable Communities Agency (Establishment) Order 2012 to increase the membership of the Board of the Housing Agency from nine to eleven members, which would allow the Minister to appoint an additional two independent members.
