Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 28th December, 2021.

I, JACK CHAMBERS, Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 (2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012) (as adapted by the Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 403 of 2020 )) and the Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 547 of 2020 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (Designation of Gaeltacht Language Planning Areas) (No. 4) Order 2021.

2. The areas specified in the Schedule are designated to be a Gaeltacht Language Planning Area for the purposes of section 7(2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012).

SCHEDULE

Language Planning Area: An tEachréidh, Co. Galway

(1) The following electoral division areas in County Galway: Baile Chláir, An Carn Mór and Eanach Dhúin (Gaillimh).

(2) That part of the electoral division area of Baile an Teampaill in County Galway which consists of the following townlands: Baile an Gharráin agus An Poll Caoin.

(3) That part of the electoral division area of Ceathrú an Bhrúnaigh in County Galway which consists of the following townlands: Ceathrú an Bhrúnaigh, An Chluain, Cluain Mhic Cáinín (Dún Coillín), Cluain Mhic Cáinín (Gaillimh), Coill Uachtair, Gort an Chalaidh, An Pollach Riabhach, An Saighleán agus Sceach Liag.

(4) That part of the electoral division area of Leacach Beag in County Galway which consists of the following townlands: Cill Torróg agus Na Croisíní.

(5) That part of the electoral division area of Lisín an Bhealaigh in County Galway which consists of the following townland: An Carn Mór Thoir.
