I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage in exercise of powers conferred on me by sections 3 , 20 and 32 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 (No. 22 of 2009), hereby make the following regulations: | ||
Citation | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Housing Assessment (Amendment) Regulations 2021. | ||
Commencement | ||
2. These Regulations come into operation on 19th April 2021. | ||
Interpretation | ||
3. In these Regulations – | ||
“the Principal Regulations” means the Social Housing Assessment Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 84 of 2011 ) | ||
Amendment of Regulation 19 (Income Limits) of the Principal Regulations. | ||
4. Regulation 19(2)(b) is amended by deleting the following: | ||
“, subject to a maximum increase of 10% under this subparagraph” | ||
Amendment of Regulation 20 (Income Limits) of the Principal Regulations. | ||
5. Regulation 20(2)(b) is amended by deleting the following: | ||
“, subject to a maximum increase of 10% under this subparagraph” | ||
Amendment of Regulation 21 (Income Limits) of the Principal Regulations. | ||
6. Regulation 21(2)(b) is amended by deleting the following: | ||
“, subject to a maximum increase of 10% under this subparagraph” | ||
7. The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is substituted by the following Schedule: | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) | ||
These Regulations amend the Social Housing Assessment Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 84 of 2011 ) to- | ||
• Remove the cap on percentage increases in relation to the income eligibility threshold in respect of each household member aged less than 18 years; | ||
• Provide for a revised Schedule containing an updated social housing support application form. | ||
The Regulations come into force on 19th April 2021. |
