S.I. No. 335/2020 - Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Remote Meetings and Remote Hearings of State Body – Adoption Authority of Ireland) Order 2020


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th September, 2020.

The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 29 (3) and 31 (3) of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Remote Meetings and Remote Hearings of State Body – Adoption Authority of Ireland) Order 2020.

2. In this Order “the Adoption Authority of Ireland” means the body established by section 94 of the Adoption Act 2010 .

3. The Adoption Authority of Ireland is a designated State body for the purposes of section 29 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 .

4. The Adoption Authority of Ireland is a designated body for the purposes of section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Instrument designates the Adoption Authority of Ireland as a state body for the purposes of holding remote meetings under section 29 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 .

This Instrument also designates the Adoption Authority of Ireland as a body for the purposes of holding remote hearings under section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 .
