S.I. No. 629/2019 - Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2019

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 13th December, 2019.

I, CHARLES FLANAGAN, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (No. 35 of 2019) , hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2019.

2. The 1st day of November 2019 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Parent’s Leave and Benefit Act 2019 (No. 35 of 2019) come into operation:

(a) section 1;

(b) section 2, other than paragraph (b)(iii) of the definition of relevant parent in subsection (1) of that section;

(c) sections 3 and 4;

(d) Parts 2 to 4;

(e) Part 6, other than section 36(b).
