S.I. No. 507/2019 - Road Traffic Act 2010 (Part 3) (Fixed Charge Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2019


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, SHANE ROSS, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 34 and 41 of the Road Traffic Act 2010 (No. 25 of 2010) (as adapted by the Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 141 of 2011 )), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic Act 2010 (Part 3) (Fixed Charge Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2019.

2. These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2019.

3. The Road Traffic Act 2010 (Part 3) (Fixed Charge Offences) Regulations 2017 ( S.I. No. 244 of 2017 ) are amended by the insertion of the following Part after Part 7 of Schedule 3:

“Part 8

€60 fixed charge

An offence under section 139(1)(c) of the Finance Act 1992 (No. 9 of 1992) consisting of a contravention of section 131(6) of that Act referred to in the Table below.

Being in possession or charge of a vehicle which does not display the identification mark assigned to the vehicle

131(6)(e)

Being in possession or charge of a vehicle which displays an identification mark assigned to a different vehicle or which displays a mark which purports to be, but is not, an identification mark assigned to the vehicle

”.
