S.I. No. 155/2019 - Maritime Jurisdiction (Bay Closing Lines) Order 2019


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 19th April, 2019.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 85 (2) of the Sea Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No. 8 of 2006), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maritime Jurisdiction (Bay Closing Lines) Order 2019.

2. Straight lines connecting the following points, defined by coordinates of latitude and longitude on the World Geodetic System 1984 datum (WGS 1984), are prescribed as bay closing lines:

(a) in relation to Dundalk Bay, the points specified at reference numbers 1 and 2 of the Schedule;

(b) in relation to Dublin Bay, the points specified at reference numbers 3 and 4 of the Schedule;

(c) in relation to Wexford Harbour, the points specified at reference numbers 5 and 6 of the Schedule.
