S.I. No. 4/2018 - Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2018

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 12th January, 2018.

I, JOHN PAUL PHELAN, Minister of State for Local Government and Electoral Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (4) of section 1 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012 (No. 17 of 2012) (as adapted by the Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 358 of 2017 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2018.

2. The 3rd day of January 2018 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012 (No. 17 of 2012) come into operation:

(a) paragraphs (b) and (d) of section 10;

(b) paragraphs (b), (c), (f), (h) and (l) of section 11.
