S.I. No. 633/2017 - Health Act 2007 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2017

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 9th January, 2018.

I, SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Health Act 2007 (No. 23 of 2007) (as adapted by the Health and Children (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 219 of 2011 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Health Act 2007 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2017.

2. The 1st day of January 2018 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Health Act 2007 (No. 23 of 2007) come into operation:

(a) paragraphs (b) and (c) of section 41(1) insofar as the functions under those paragraphs are performable in relation to a designated centre to which paragraph (b) of the definition of designated centre in section 2(1) applies;

(b) Parts 8 and 9 insofar as they relate to a designated centre to which paragraph (b) of the definition of designated centre in section 2(1) applies.
