S.I. No. 543/2017 - Gaeltacht Act 2012 (Designation of Gaeltacht Language Planning Areas) Order 2017


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 1st December, 2017.

I, JOE McHUGH, Minister of State at the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 (2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012) and the Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 315 of 2017 ) (as adapted by the Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order ( S.I. No. 350 of 2017 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (Designation of Gaeltacht Language Planning Areas) Order 2017.

2. The areas specified in the Schedule are each designated to be a Gaeltacht Language Planning Area for the purposes of section 7 (2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012).

Schedule

Language Planning Area: Gaoth Dobhair, Rann na Feirste, Anagaire and Loch and Iúir, Co. Donegal

(1) The following electoral division areas: Machaire Chlochair, Cró Bheithe.

(2) That part of the electoral division area of Anagaire which consists of the following townlands: Anagaire, An Coillín Darach, Doire na Mainséar, Sliabh Dhroim na Ceárta, Loch an Iúir, Mín Doire na Slua, Mín na Leice and Rann na Feirste.

(3) That part of the electoral division area of Dún Lúiche which consists of the following townlands: Alltán, Na Beanna Gorma, Dún Lúiche Íochtarach, Dún Lúiche Uachtarach, Muine Beag, Muine Mór, Sliabh na Cloigne Thuaidh, Mín na gCopóg, Sliabh Dhroim na Luifearnaí, Cró an Locháin and Cró na gCaorach.

(4) That part of the electoral division area of Mín an Chladaigh which consists of the following townlands: An Charraig, Bun na Leaca, Cnoc Fola, An Chorrmhín, An Ghlaisigh, Inis Meáin, Mín an Chladaigh and Inis Oirthir (not including Toraigh).

(5) That part of the electoral division area of Gort an Choirce which consists of the following townlands: Glaise Chú.
