S.I. No. 233/2013 - Non-Use of Motor Vehicles Regulations 2013.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 5th July, 2013.

The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 20B of the Finance (No. 2) Act 1992 (as inserted by section 7 of the Non-Use of Motor Vehicles Act 2013 ) (as adapted by the Environment, Heritage and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 193 of 2011 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Use of Motor Vehicles Regulations 2013.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on 01 July 2013.

2. The prescribed form for the purpose of making a declaration of non-use of a vehicle shall be Form RF150 — Declaration of Non-Use of a Motor Vehicle.

3. In addition to the information specified in subsections 20B(3) (a-d) of the Finance (No. 2) Act 1992 (as inserted by section 7 of the Non-Use of Motor Vehicles Act 2013 ) the following information shall be required on Form RF150:

— the make/model of the vehicle,

— the colour of the vehicle,

— the chassis number of the vehicle,

— the Vehicle Registration Certificate Number of the vehicle,

— the address and telephone number of the registered owner of the vehicle,

— the signature of the registered owner of the vehicle, and

— the date of signature.
