S.I. No. 47/2012 - Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (Section 21) (Royal Dublin Society) Regulations 2012.


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 17th February, 2012.

I, LEO VARADKAR, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 21 of the Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (No. 31 of 2003) and the Tourism and Sport (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 140 of 2011 )), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (Section 21) (Royal Dublin Society) Regulations 2012.

2. In these Regulations “Act of 2003” means the Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (No. 31 of 2003).

3. The stadium, known as Royal Dublin Society, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, is designated as a national sporting arena.

4. The areas indicated by the colour red on the map of the designated national sporting arena referred to in Regulation 3 and set out in Schedule 1 are prescribed for the purposes of section 21(4)(a) of the Act of 2003.

5. The areas indicated by the colour blue on the map of the designated national sporting arena referred to in Regulation 3 and set out in Schedule 2 are prescribed for the purposes of section 21(4)(b) of the Act of 2003.

6. The Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (Section 21) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No. 824 of 2005 ) are revoked.

Map referred to in Regulation 4

The areas of the designated national sporting arena referred to in Regulation 3 which are prescribed for the purposes of section 21(4)(a) of the Act of 2003 are indicated in red.
