I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 13 of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2007 ( S.I. No. 705 of 2007 )) for the purpose, inter alia, of giving further effect to Article 71 of Directive 2001/82/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 November 2001 1 on the Community code relating to veterinary medicinal products, hereby order as follows— | ||
1. This order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines)(Amendment) Order 2009. | ||
2. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 528 of 2002 ) is amended in the First Schedule by the deletion of “Salmonellosis (caused by or involving salmonella enteriditis or salmonella typhimurium) in poultry” | ||
3. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 528 of 2002 ) is amended, in Part 1 of the Second Schedule, by the insertion before “swine fever”of “Salmonellosis (caused by or involving salmonella enteriditis or salmonella typhimurium) in poultry” | ||

This Order provides for the removal of a certain disease from the First Schedule of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 528 of 2002 ) and the insertion of a certain disease in Part 1 of the Second Schedule of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 528 of 2002 ). | ||
