European Parliament Elections (Amendment) Act 2004

Constituencies and number of members to be elected.

4.—The Act of 1997 is amended as respects European elections held after 1 January 2004 by the substitution of the following Schedule for the Third Schedule:

“THIRD SCHEDULE

Dublin

The counties of:

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin;

and the city of Dublin.

East

The counties of:

Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.

North-West

The counties of:

Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Monaghan, Roscommon and Sligo;

and the city of Galway.

South

The counties of:

Cork, Kerry, Limerick, North Tipperary, South Tipperary and Waterford;

and the cities of Cork, Limerick and Waterford.

In this Schedule ‘counties’ and ‘cities’ shall be construed in accordance with section 10 of, and Schedule 5 to, the Local Government Act 2001 .”.
