S.I. No. 495/2002 - Teagasc (Conferral of Functions) Order 2002

I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 of the Agriculture (Research, Training and Advice) Act 1988 (no. 18 of 1988) (as adapted by the Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 306 of 2002 )), hereby order as follows -

1.         This Order may be cited as the Teagasc (Conferral of Functions) Order 2002.

2.         The functions that, but for the making of this Order and the European Communities (Milk Quotas) (Teagasc) Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No. 496 of 2002 ), vest in the Farm Apprenticeship Board are conferred on Teagasc.

The effect of this Order is to confer functions in relation to milk production partnerships, formerly exercised by the Farm Apprenticeship Board, on Teagasc.
