S.I. No. 402/2002 - Transport (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2002

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Transport and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1.   This Order may be cited as the Transport (Delegation of Ministerial Functions Order 2002

2.   The powers and duties of the Minister for Transport conferred on him —

a.   by or under the provisions of the enactments specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1,

b.   by or under the enactments specified in part 2 of Schedule 1, and

c.   under the Regulations specified in Schedule 2,

to this Order are delegated to James McDaid, Minister of State at the Department of Transport.

This Order delegates to Jim McDaid, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, the powers and duties of the Minister for Transport as conferred on the Minister by or under the enactments specified in the First Schedule to this Order and the Statutory Instruments and provisions of Statutory Instruments specified in the Second Schedule to this Order.
