S.I. No. 638/2001 - Castlebar Urban District Boundary Alteration Order, 2001

The Minister for the Environment and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 and 31 (1) of the Local Government Act, 1991 (No. 11 of 1991) hereby orders as follows:-

1.       This Order may be cited as the Castlebar Urban District Boundary Alteration Order, 2001.

2.       This Order shall come into operation on 1 January 2002.

3.       The areas shown as “relevant areas” on the map titled “Castlebar UDC” date-stamped 19^th December 2001, and attached to this Order, shall be detached from the County Health District of Mayo and from then on they shall be included in and form part of the Urban District of Castlebar and the boundary of the Urban District shall accordingly stand altered in accordance with that map.

Explanatory note

This Order extends the boundary of the Urban District of Castlebar from 1 January 2002. It should be read together with a separate order, the Castlebar Urban District Boundary Alteration (Supplementary) Order, 2001, ( S.I. No. 639 of 2001 ) which contains supplementary provisions related to the boundary extension.
