S.I. No. 221/2001 - Place-Names (Irish Forms) (Amendment) Order, 2001.


I, SÍLE DE VALERA, T.D., Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Place-Names (Irish Forms) Act, 1973 (No.24 of 1973), and the Place-Names (Irish Forms)(Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 2000 ( S.I. No.413 of 2000 ), and having received and considered advice from An Coimisiún Logainmneacha, hereby make the following order:

1.       (1)  This Order may be cited as the Place-Names (Irish Forms) (Amendment) Order, 2001.

(2)  This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of June 2001.

2.       The Schedule to the Place - Names (Irish Forms)Order (No.1)(Post — Towns) 1975 (S.I. No. 133 of 1975), is hereby amended in column (2) by the substitution, under the heading “Contae Mhaigh Eo” opposite the mention of “Knock”, of “Cnoc Mhuire” for “An Cnoc”.
