S.I. No. 89/2001 - Nursing Homes (Subvention) (Amendment) Regulations, 2001


In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Health and Children by Section 7 (2) of the Health (Nursing Homes) Act, 1990 (No. 23 of 1990) (as adapted by the Health (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 308 of 1997 )), which said powers are delegated to me by the Health and Children (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 2000 ( S.I. No. 32 of 2000 ) I, Dr. Tom Moffatt T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children hereby make the following Regulations:-

1.       These Regulations may be cited as the Nursing Homes (Subvention) (Amendment) Regulations, 2001.

2.       These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 2001.

3.       The Nursing Homes (Subvention) Regulations, 1993 ( S.I. No. 227 of 1993 ) are hereby amended by the substitution for the Fourth Schedule of the following:-

These Regulations amend the Nursing Homes (Subvention) Regulations, 1993, ( S.I. No. 227 of 1993 ) by increasing the rates of subvention payable from £70 to £90 in respect of medium dependency, from £95 to £120 in respect of high dependency and from £120 to £150 in respect of maximum dependency.
