S.I. No. 187/2000 - European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended For Particular Nutritional Purposes) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000.

I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture and Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purposes of giving effect to Council Directive 96/25/EC of 29 April, 19961 and for the purpose of giving further effect to Commission Directive 93/74/EC of 13 September, 19932 , as amended, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000.

(2) The European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 to 1999 and these Regulations may be cited collectively as the European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 to 2000.

2. The European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 are hereby amended by

(a) the substitution in Regulation 2 (1) of the following definition for the definition of “the Directive”

“the Directive” means Council Directive 93/74/EEC of 13 September, 19932 , as amended by Commission Directive 94/39/EC of 25 July, 19943 , Commission Directive 95/9/EC of 7 April, 19954 , Commission Directive 95/10/EC of 7 April, 19955 , and Council Directive 96/25/EC of 29 April, 19961 , and Commission Directive 99/78/EC of 27 July, 19996 ”

(b)  the substitution of the term “feed material(s)” for the term “ingredient(s)” in respect of each occurrence in the Regulations;

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996 to 1999, so as to give effect to Council Directive 96/25/EC.
