S.I. No. 38/2000 - Local Government (Certificate of Rateable Value) (Amendment) Order 2000.


The Minister for the Environment and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (10) of section 54 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898 hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Certificate of Rateable Value) (Amendment) Order, 2000.

2. In this Order the expression “the Principal Order” means the order made by the Local Government Board for Ireland on the 29th day of March, 1906 pursuant to subsection (10) of section 54 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898.

3. There shall be substituted for the figure of “five pounds” in article 3 of the Principal Order [as substituted by article 3 of the Local Government (Certificate of Rateable Value) (Amendment) Order, 1992 hereinafter called “the Order of 1992”) ( S.I. No. 85 of 1992 )] the figure of “fifteen pounds”

4. The Order of 1992 is hereby revoked and rescinded.

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of March, 2000.

This Order amends the Principal Order made by the Local Government Board of Ireland on the 29th day of March, 1906 under section 54 (10) of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898 which prescribes the payment for a certificate of rateable value.
