S.I. No. 342/1999 - Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act, 1997 (Extension of Custom House Docks Area) Order, 1999.


The Minister for the Environment and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 5 and 6 of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act, 1997 (No. 7 of 1997), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act, 1997 (Extension of Custom House Docks Area) Order, 1999.

2. In this Order ‘the Custom House Docks Area’ means the area described in the Second Schedule to the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act, 1997 (No. 7 of 1997) as amended by the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act, 1997 (Extension of Custom House Docks Area) Order, 1998 ( No. 344 of 1998 ).

3. The Custom House Docks Area is hereby extended to include the land described in Part II of the Schedule to this Order.

SCHEDULE

Part I

In this Schedule—

(a) a reference to a line drawn along any street, road, bridge or river or the projection of any street, road or bridge shall be construed as a line drawn along the centre of such street, road, bridge or river or the projection of a line drawn along the centre of such street, road or bridge, as the case may be, and

(b) a reference to the point at which any projection is said to intersect any river shall be construed as a reference to the point at which a line drawn along the projection would intersect a line drawn along the centre of the river.

Part II

Description of land

That part of the County Borough of Dublin bounded by a line commencing at the point (hereafter in this description referred to as ‘the first-mentioned point’) where the southerly projection of New Wapping Street intersects the River Liffey, then continuing in an easterly direction along the River Liffey to the point where it intersects the East Link Bridge (also known as the Ringsend Toll Bridge), then continuing in a northerly direction along the East Link Bridge and East Wall Road to the point where it is joined by Sheriff Street Upper, then continuing in a westerly direction along Sheriff Street Upper to the point where it joins New Wapping Street, then continuing in a southerly direction along New Wapping Street and the southerly projection thereof to the first-mentioned point.
