S.I. No. 282/1999 - Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Section 17 and Section 18) (Limerick and Clare) Order, 1999.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 17 and Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Section 17 and Section 18) (Limerick and Clare) Order, 1999.

2. The existing Registrars' Districts of Limerick No. 1, Limerick No. 2 and Limerick No. 4 shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Limerick.

3. The existing Registrars' Districts of Kilmallock and Mitchelstown shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrars' District to be known as the Registrars' District of Kilmallock.

4. The existing Registrars' Districts of Rathkeale, New-castle and Askeaton shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrars' District of Limerick West.

5. The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballyvaughan and Corofin shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrars' District to be known as the Registrars' District of North Clare.

6. The existing Registrars' District of Coolacasey shall be renamed and shall henceforth be known as the Registrars' District of South Clare.

7. The existing Registrars' Districts of Kilmihil and Labasheeda shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrars' District to be known as the Registrars' District of West Clare.

8. The existing Registrars' Districts of Ennis, Ballynacally and Tulla shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrars' District to be known as the Registrars' District of East Clare.

This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October 1999.
