S.I. No. 214/1999 — Electricity Regulation Act, 1999 (Establishment Day) Order, 1999

I, MARY O'ROURKE, T.D., Minister for Public Enterprise, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 (1) of the Electricity Regulation Act, 1999 (No. 23 of 1999), hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Electricity Regulation Act, 1999 (Establishment Day) Order, 1999.

2. The 14th day of July, 1999, is hereby appointed as the establishment day for the purposes of the Electricity Regulation Act, 1999 (No. 23 of 1999).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

This Order appoints 14 July, 1999, to be the establishment day for the purposes of section 8 of the Electricity Regulation Act, 1999 . On that day there shall stand established the Commission for Electricity Regulation, to perform the functions conferred on it by the Electricity Regulation Act, 1999 .
