S.I. No. 86/1999 - Oireachtas (Allowances To Members) (Telephone and Postal Facilities) (Amendment) Regulations, 1999.


I, CHARLIE McCREEVY, T.D., Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 (inserted by section 11 (1) of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Amendment) Act, 1992 (No. 3 of 1992), and amended by section 3 of the Oireachtas (Miscellaneous Provisions) and Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Amendment) Act, 1996 (No. 39 of 1996)) and 3 (as amended by section 17 of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial, Parliamentary, Judicial and Court Offices (Amendment) Act, 1998 (No. 5 of 1998)) of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) Act, 1962 (No. 32 of 1962), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) (Telephone and Postal Facilities) (Amendment) Regulations, 1999.

2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 6th day of June, 1997.

3. Regulation 2 (1) of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) (Telephone and Postal Facilities) Regulations, 1998 ( S.I. No. 99 of 1998 ) is hereby amended by the substitution for—

“(c) A Joint Committee (within the meaning of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann and, the Standing Orders of Seanad Éireann) appointed by both Houses of the Oireachtas.”

of

“(c) A Joint Committee (within the meaning of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann and, the Standing Orders of Seanad Éireann) appointed by both Houses of the Oireachtas,

(d) the Select Committee on Members' Interests of Dáil Éireann,

(e) the Select Committee on Members' Interests of Seanad Éireann,

(f) the All Party Committee on the Strategic Management Initiative.”.
