S.I. No. 60/1999 - Jury Districts Order, 1999.

I, JOHN O'DONOGHUE, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 (3) of the Juries Act, 1976 (No. 4 of 1976), as adapted by the Justice (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 298 of 1997 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Jury Districts Order, 1999.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 8th day of March, 1999.

3. Part II of the Schedule to the Jury Districts Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 57 of 1976 ) is hereby amended by the deletion of the reference to the jury district, County of Mayo (Jury District No. 1 (Castlebar) and Jury District No. 2 (Ballina)).

This Statutory Instrument which comes into operation on 8th March, 1999 amends the Jury Districts Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 57 of 1976 ). For the purposes of the Juries Act, 1976 the County of Mayo is now one Jury district.
