ENTERPRISE AND EMPLOYMENT (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1997

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Enterprise and Employment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1997.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Enterprise and Employment conferred on the Minister by or under—

( a ) the Irish Take-over Panel Act, 1997 (No. 5 of 1997),

( b )  section 9 of the Science and Technology Act, 1987 (No. 30 of 1987),

( c ) the European Communities (Commercial Agents) Regulations, 1997 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1997 ), and

( d ) the European Communities (Public Limited Companies Subsidiaries) Regulations, 1997 ( S.I. No. 67 of 1997 ),

are hereby delegated to Pat Rabbitte, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise and Employment.
