IRISH TAKE-OVER PANEL ACT, 1997 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1997

I, RICHARD BRUTON, Minister for Enterprise and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 27(2) of the Irish Take-over Panel Act, 1997 (No. 5 of 1997), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Irish Take-over Panel Act, 1997 (Commencement) Order, 1997.

2. The 14th day of April, 1997, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Irish Take-over Panel Act, 1997 (No. 5 of 1997) (other than subsection (3) of section 5, subsections (1) and (2) of section 7 and sections 9 to 15 thereof) shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the 14th day of April, 1997 as the day on which certain provisions of the Irish Take-over Panel Act, 1997 shall come into operation.
