EXPLANATORY NOTE.

An Foras Áiseanna Saothair (The Training and Employment Authority) was established under the Labour Services Act, 1987 as successor to An Chomhairle Oiliuna (The Industrial Training Authority).

The Industrial Training (Chemical and Allied Products Committee) Order, 1972 made by An Chomhairle Oiliuna established an Industrial Training Committee, to be known as the Chemical and Allied Products Industry Training Committee, to advise and assist An Chomhairle Oiliuna, as respects the performance of its functions. All such functions have now been transferred to An Foras Áiseanna Saothair under the above mentioned Act.

This Order amends the Industrial Training (Chemical and Allied Products Committee) Order, 1972 by extending the term of office of the members of the Committee from three years and nine months to four years.
