I, NORA OWEN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1994 (No. 15 of 1994), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act, 1994 (Commencement) Order, 1996.

2. Part V (sections 33 to 37) and Part VII (sections 46 to 56) of the Criminal Justice Act, 1994 , and the First Schedule and the Second Schedule to that Act, shall come into operation on the 15th day of November, 1996.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order fixes the date on which Part V and Part VII of the Criminal Justice Act, 1994 , and the First and Second Schedules to that Act, come into operation.
