CONTROL OF BULLS FOR BREEDING (PERMITS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1995.

I, IVAN YATES, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 11 of the Control of Bulls for Breeding Act, 1985 (No. 13 of 1985), as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1993 ), hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Control of Bulls for Breeding (Permits) (Amendment) Regulations, 1995.

2. The Control of Bulls for Breeding (Permits) Regulations, 1986 ( S.I. No. 333 of 1986 ) are hereby amended by the substitution for Regulation 7 (inserted by the Control of Bulls for Breeding (Permits) (Amendment) Regulations, 1994 ( S.I. No. 327 of 1994 )) of the following Regulation:

"7. (1) A permit granted pursuant to Regulation 4 (c) of these Regulations shall, subject to these Regulations, cease to have effect on the 31st day of October, 1996.

(2) A permit granted pursuant to the said Regulation 4 (c) that was in force immediately before the 31st day of October, 1995 shall, continue in force until the 31st day of October, 1996."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations are made under the Control of Bulls for Breeding Act, 1985 to provide for the continuation of the system of granting permits to persons with small herds to keep unregistered bulls for breeding purposes and to extend permits already issued under previous Regulations until 31 October 1996.
