CASUAL TRADING ACT, 1995 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1995.

I, RICHARD BRUTON, T.D., Minister for Enterprise and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 (2) of the Casual Trading Act, 1955 (No. 19 of 1995), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Casual Trading Act, 1995 (Commencement) Order, 1995.

2. In this Order, "the Act" means the Casual Trading Act, 1995 (No. 19 of 1995).

3. The 16th day of October, 1995, is hereby fixed as the day on which sections 6 and 17 (1) (b) of the Act shall come into operation.

4. The 1st day of May, 1996, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Act (other than the said sections 6 and 17 (1) (b) ) shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of the Order is to bring Sections 6 (which relates to bye-laws) and 17 (1) (b) (which repeals section 6 of the Dublin Corporation (Markets & c.) Act, 1901) of the Casual Trading Act, 1995 into force on 16th October, 1995 and to bring the Casual Trading Act, 1995 , other than Sections 6 and 17 (1) (b), into force on 1st May, 1996.
