EDUCATION (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1995.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Education and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Education (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1995.

2. The statutory powers and duties of the Minister for Education conferred on her by or under:—

(i) the Children Acts, 1908 to 1989, so far as they relate to juvenile offenders, and

(ii) the School Attendance Acts, 1926 to 1967,

are hereby delegated to Austin Currie, Minister of State at the Department of Education.
