PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS ACT, 1993 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1993.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (3) of the Presidential Elections Act, 1993 (No. 28 of 1993), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Presidential Elections Act, 1993 (Commencement) Order, 1993.

2. The Presidential Elections Act, 1993 shall come into operation on the date of the making of this Order.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings the provisions of the Presidential Elections Act, 1993 (which provides for the consolidation with amendments of the statutory provisions relating to presidential elections) into operation on 7th December, 1993.
