REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (WESTMEATH) ORDER, 1993.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 17 and 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Sections 17 and 18) (Westmeath) Order, 1993.

2. The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Delvin and Mullingar shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Mullingar.

3. The division of the County of Westmeath into Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows:

( a ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballynacargy, Castlepollard, Castletown Geoghegan, Clonmellon, Coole, Delvin, Kilbeggan, Killucan, Miltown Pass, Mullingar, Multyfarnham and Tyrrellspass shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Mullingar.

( b ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Athlone No. 1, Ballymore and Moate shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Athlone No. 1.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Superintendent Registrars' Districts and Registrars' Districts in the County of Westmeath so as to reduce the number of such districts in that county.
