STATISTICS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1993.

The Government, on the request of the Taoiseach and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 21 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Statistics (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993.

2. The powers and duties of the Taoiseach confirmed on him by or under—

( a ) section 2 (2) of the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924 (No. 16 of 1924), in so far as it relates to the Central Statistics Office,

( b ) the Statistics Acts, 1926 and 1946, and

( c ) the Civil Service Regulations Acts, 1956 and 1958, and the Civil Service Commissioners Act, 1956 (No. 45 of 1956), in so far as those Acts relate to the Central Statistics Office,

are hereby delegated to Noel Dempsey, Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach.
