SOCIAL WELFARE (RENT ALLOWANCE) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1992.

The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 23 of the Housing (Private Rented Dwellings) Act, 1982 (No. 6 of 1982) and subsections (2) and (3) of section 3 of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1981 (No. 1 of 1981), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1 Short title and collective and citation.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Rent Allowance) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1992.

(2) The Social Welfare (Rent Allowance) Regulations, 1991 and 1992, and these Regulations shall be construed together as one and may be cited together as the Social Welfare (Rent Allowance) Regulations, 1991 to 1992.

2 Amount of rent allowance.

2. Article 6 (2) of the Social Welfare (Rent Allowance) Regulations 1991 ( S.I. No. 208 of 1991 ) is hereby amended by the substitution in paragraph (b) (inserted by article 4 of the Social Welfare (Rent Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations, 1992 ( S.I. No. 219 of 1992 )) of "£72" for "£69".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations rectify an error in the Social Welfare (Rent Allowance) Regulations, 1991 ( S.I. No. 208 of 1991 ) with respect to the amount of means disregarded for the purposes of the rent allowance scheme.
