CHILD CARE ACT, 1991 (CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL CENTRES) (SUPERANNUATION) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1992.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 66 of the Child Care Act, 1991 (No. 17 of 1991), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Child Care Act, 1991 (Children's Residential Centres) (Superannuation) (No. 2) Order, 1992.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1992.

3. Section 66 of the Child Care Act, 1991 shall apply with effect from the 1st day of June, 1992, to—

( a ) the institutions specified in the First Schedule which are industrial schools certified in accordance with Part IV of the Children Act, 1908, functions in relation to which stand vested in the Minister for Health, and

( b ) the schools specified in the Second Schedule which are schools approved (or deemed to be approved) for the purposes of section 55 of the Health Act, 1953 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to apply the new statutory superannuation scheme provided for in Section 66 of the Child Care Act, 1991 to the staffs of those children's residential homes which are currently approved or certified by the Minister for Health.
