EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (PROTEIN FEEDINGSTUFFS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1991.

I, Michael O' Kennedy, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purposes of giving effect to Commission Directive 90/439/EEC of 24 July 1990(1) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Council Directive 82/471/EEC of 30 June 1982(2), as amended, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1991.

(2) The European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1986 and 1990, and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1986 to 1991.

2. In these Regulations "the Regulations of 1986" means the European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1986 ( S.I. No. 433 of 1986 ).

3. Regulation 2(1) of the Regulations of 1986, as amended by Regulation 3 of the European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1990, are hereby amended by the substitution, for the definition of "the Directive of 1982", of the definition set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

4. The Regulations of 1986, as amended by Regulation 4 of the European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1990, are hereby amended by the substitution, for the First Schedule thereto, of the Schedule set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.
