SOCIAL WELFARE (EMPLOYMENT OF INCONSIDERABLE EXTENT) (REVOCATION) REGULATIONS, 1991.

The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 and paragraph 5 of Part II of the First Schedule to the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1981 (No. 1 of 1981 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) (Revocation) Regulations, 1991.

2. The Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) Regulations, 1991 ( S.I. No. 28 of 1991 ) are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These regulations revoke the Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) Regulations, 1991, which had set a threshold of £40 a week for the insurability, under the Social Welfare Acts, of part-time employment. A revised threshold of £25 a week has been set by the Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) (No. 2) Regulations, 1991.
