SAFETY, HEALTH AND WELFARE (OFFSHORE INSTALLATIONS) ACT, 1987 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1990.

I, BERTIE AHERN, T.D., Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Safety, Health and Welfare (Offshore Installations) Act, 1987 (No. 18 of 1987), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Safety, Health and Welfare (Offshore Installations) Act, 1987 (Commencement) Order, 1990.

2. The 30th day of November, 1990, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Safety, Health and Welfare (Offshore Installations) Act, 1987 (No. 18 of 1987), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints the 30th day of November, 1990, as the day on which the Safety, Health and Welfare (Offshore Installations) Act, 1987 (No. 18 of 1987), as amended by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 (No. 7 of 1989), comes into operation.
