BUILDING SOCIETIES ACT, 1989 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1990.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (2) of the Building Societies Act, 1989 (No. 17 of 1989), hereby orders as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the Building Societies Act, 1989 (Commencement) Order, 1990.

2. Part IX of the Building Societies Act, 1989 , shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1990.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings the provisions of Part IX of the Building Societies Act, 1989 (No. 17 of 1989) into operation on 1st May, 1990.
