S.I. No. 206/1988 - Messengers (Dublin City and Dún Laoghaire) Joint Labour Committee (Abolition) Order, 1988.


WHEREAS the Messengers (Dublin City and Dún Laoghaire) Join Labour Committee was Established by an Establishment Order dated 20th May, 1950 made pursuant to the provisions of Section 43 of the Industrial Relations act, 1946 (hereinafter called "the Act") and operating in relation to workers and employers specified in the Schedule of that Establishment Order;

AND WHEREAS application has been made to the Labour Court in accordance with Section 40 of the Act by the Minister for Labour for an Order abolishing the Messengers (Dublin City and Dún Laoghaire) Joint Labour Committee;

AND WHEREAS the requirements of Section 40 of the Act, have been complied with in respect of such an application;

NOW THEREFORE, the Labour Court in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 40 of the Act, hereby orders as follows:—

(1) The Messengers (Dublin City and Dún Laoghaire) Joint Labour Committee is hereby abolished.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 29th day of August, 1988.

(3) This Order may be cited as the Messengers (Dublin City and Dún Laoghaire) Joint Labour Committee (Abolition) Order, 1988.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this instrument is to abolish the Messengers (Dublin City and Dún Laoghaire) Joint Labour Committee.
