HEALTH SERVICES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1988.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by section 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1988.

2. Article 3 of the Health Services (No. 2) Regulations, 1983 ( S.I. No. 139 of 1983 ) (as amended by article 2 of the Health Services (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1987 ( S.I. No. 134 of 1987 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of "£15,500" for "£15,000" in sub-article (2) (a).

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1988.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Health Services (No. 2) Regulations, 1983 by raising the income ceiling from £15,000 to £15,500 which limits the extent to which services provided under Section 52 (1), 56 (2), 62 and 63 of the Health Act, 1970 are available to certain persons.
