DISABLED PERSONS (MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES) (No. 2) REGULATIONS, 1987.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by sections 69 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970) ,hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (No. 2) Regulations, 1987.

2. Where a person is or becomes entitled to payment of a maintenance allowance under section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 in accordance with the Disabled Persons (Maintenace Allowances) Regulations, 1984 and 1987 to or in respect of himself or his dependants, in respect of the week ending on the 4th day of December, 1987, any amount so payable for that week shall be increased by a sum equal to sixty-five per cent of that amount.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to increase, in respect of the week ending 4th December, 1987 the maximum weekly rate of maintenance allowance payable under section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 , by a sum equal to sixty five per cent of that amount.
