REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES REGULATIONS, 1987.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 6 of the Vital Statistics and Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act, 1952 (No. 8 of 1952), and by section 22 of the Adoption Act, 1952 (No. 25 of 1952), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. The Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Regulations, 1987.

2. An tArd-Chláraitheoir, a Superintendent Registrar or a Registrar may issue, as respects an entry in a register of births, deaths or marriages or the Adopted Children Register in which corrections have been made, a certificate of the matters at such entry, as so corrected, endorsed in the manner set out in Part I, or Part II, as appropriate, of the Schedule to these Regulations on payment of a fee of £3.50, together with the appropriate search fee (If any is chargeable).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations permit the issue, in respect of an entry in a register of births, deaths or marriages or the Adopted Children Register in any of which corrections have been made, of a certificate incorporating the particulars as corrected, without the inclusion of the correction or marginal note appearing in the entry.
