TOURISM, FISHERIES AND FORESTRY (ALTERATION OF NAME OF DEPARTMENT AND TITLE OF MINISTER) ORDER, 1987.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on the by section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Tourism, (Fisheries and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1987.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of March, 1987.

2. The name of the Department of State, the present name whereof is, in the Irish language, An Roinn Turasoireachta, Iascaigh agus Foraoiseachta and, in the English language, the Department of Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of Roinn na Mara and, in the English language, to that of the Department of the Marine.

3. The title of the Minister having charge of a Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Turasoireachta, Iascaigh agus Foraoiseachta and, in the English language, the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of Aire na Mara and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for the Marine.

4. In any enactment—

(a) references to the Department of Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry shall be construed as references to the Department of the Marine,

(b) references to the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry shall be construed as references to the Minister for the Marine.
